N&D-Standard Wheel Washer
Experience shows that one can only speak of biosecurity if vehicles can be cleaned properly. N&D Biosafety offers for sale a high-pressure jet wheel-washing system. The wheel washer is installed permanently on site, and the vehicle’s entry and forward movement trigger the wash cycle. This prevents vehicles from having to stop and avoids congestion in traffic lanes.
The system can be configured to customize the cleaning protocol.
To address industrial challenges related to traceability of best practices, N&D Biosafety links a license plate reading system to the proper execution of the washing steps. The data generated by this tracking is summarized and used via software,
enabling an analysis of the system’s proper operation and its use.

Our approach
In 2022, we supported the agri-food sector, which was hit hard by avian flu in the Pays de la Loire and Brittany regions.
In collaboration with the company SANDERS, we developed a prototype biosafety station aimed at cleaning and then disinfecting transport vehicles, identified as major vectors for spreading the virus.
The implementation and use of this prototype, directly at the factory and subjected to real field conditions, allowed us to benefit from solid feedback and improve the design to adapt to the real needs of users.
